STOCKHOLM HOME

What a beautiful spring that welcomes us in Stockholm. It is sad that our 3.5 month long trip is over but also very good to be back home. I am glad to have shared this time and experience with my Love, makes it much easier to be understood. Last month in the US I have visited and studied with many great photographers who learned me much but most of all inspired me. I am ready to start this season.

Los Angeles

When we weren't driving on the freeways we visited museums and tried to develop all the 16mm film we'd been working on since the beginning of this trip. Unlike the digital work we'd been working on we did not know if this would come out at all! It was VERY exciting to see the film coming up on the screen at Magic Filmworks studio! I highly recommend them.
LA was full of smog and I had a hard time focusing...

The desert in the south west

5 yrs ago I lived I San Diego, while living there I loved to drive out to the desert to photograph. It was great to back. This was also the last day of my 20's!

Biosphere 2, Arizona USA

An attempt to create a second ecosystem. Inside this building you find an ocean, a rainforest, a desert and a savannah. Four people lived inside the Biosphere 2 for two years without leaving. The 4 people (2 men, 2 women) had to grow their own food. They were supposed to do research but it took so much time to grow their food (and fix with machinery) that there was no time left for research! This I find the most interesting, it is difficult to understand how much time and effort it takes to grow crops and run a farm when you pick your food from the shelves at the grocery store.

Oh and by the way, Biosphere 2 is now for sale.

WPPI in Las Vegas

Many years ago when I was first starting out as a photographer I attented the WPPI convention in Las Vegas. While walking around the tradehsow I suddenly spotted some incredible images. The photographer was presenting his work and I decided to stop. I was blown away by the beauty and passion in his work. After the presentation another photographer came up to me and said
-You really liked it didn't you?
- Yeah! how did you know?
- You were crying
I touched my cheeks and they were all wet, I hadn't noticed.

I was just at the 2007 WPPI convention and had the great pleasure of having breakfast with this incredible photographer, Joe Buissink.

Thank you Joe for all your inspiration!
